Mid Term Crits

In Specialist project on 10 November, 2008 at 3:54 pm

Please sort out your media for this. Transferring between presentations often takes as much time as the presentations themselves, so PLEASE bring in everything you want to show — on a memory stick, on the network or on your own laptop. We’ll decide the running order in the morning.

Also, Wednesday morning – please ALL to attend the guest presentation by Pete van Lanschot.

MID TERM CRITS

To last 5-10 minutes each, including questions. So please be brief, and clear. Make sure you get across the overall idea, how you are approaching it, what you’ve done so far (context/research and practical), any specific problems you have encountered (though don’t dwell on this for too long!) and what you hope/think the final piece will be.

You’re not marked on this, but it is an excellent opportunity for you to run your ideas past your peers and get reactions, ideas and viewpoints you may not have previously considered.

Wednesday 12th November

Pete van Lanschot, an ex-student of this course and also MA Design for Interactive Media at London College of Computing will present his piece Dominotes, built in Flash, using Fiducial Tracking and recently exhibited at Flash on the Beach. The presentation/workshop starts at 10.30 – please ALL be there for this!

Cheers
